Recognise
As part of the 30K Project, Recognise is an initiative from the Church of England.
Running from the 6th to 13th of July, Recognise is a week to honour CYF ministry, culminating in Sunday Service celebrations, with resources to support Churches to recognise and thank all involved in CYF ministry.
It was a privilege to attend a Recognise event held at Lambeth Palace that week, hearing from Archbishop Sarah, Ele Mumford (from Vineyard Church) and Ben Lindsay OBE (from “Power the Fight”).
A celebration of volunteers and paid ministers, from churches both big and small from a range of contexts. Attendees were nominated by their Diocese and enjoyed the speakers, worship, networking and afternoon tea.
By searching #RECOGNISE2026 on social media, you can see how Recognise was celebrated and be inspired for how you, too, can acknowledge and thank CYF ministers for all they are and give to children, young people and their families.
The Bishop of Grimsby, Bishop Jean, offered her thanks and reflections too.

Networks
- Choral Church Network – We are excited to relaunch this network for anyone involved in choral church with Children and Young People. Links between churches have seen choirs coming together in Boston and Holbeach, and offered support for leaders. As well as the 3 sessions, we hope to gather in the Summer to sing and celebrate together. Dates for your diary: 26th Sept (10am at Lincoln Cathedral) 23rd Jan & 24th Apr.
- Growing Faith – Our Lincoln Diocese Network online meetings for 26/27: 22nd Sept, 3rd Nov, 28th Jan, 11th Mar, 11th May & 1st July. For all involved in Growing Faith projects or exploring what it could meanf for your context. Find out more: Growing Faith
- Anglo-Catholic Youth & Children’s Workers – On 14th July, the group met together and created resources for Holy Cross Day on 14th September. Find them here: ACN – Holy Cross Day The next meeting is on Tuesday 8 September 7.30-9pm on Zoom. 21st November will be an online day conference on Godly Play. - Toddler Network Stow & Lindsay – For all involved in toddler ministry in the North of the Diocese, the next network meeting will be held at The Cornerstone Church, Grimsby, in the community hall on 5th October from 1-2.30pm.
- Toddler Network Lincoln – For all involved in toddler ministry in the South of the Diocese, the next network meeting will be held at St Michael’s Church, Waddington in November. Date to be confirmed.

Training
- “All Inclusive?” – Additional Needs training from Mark Arnold & Urban Saints. A range of training across the Autumn Term is now available to book. Held on Tuesday evenings, 7.30 – 9.30pm, sessions include: Supporting Families, Understanding Behaviour in Young People with AN & How to include Autistic Young People in Church. All Inclusive?
- Messy Church – Messy Momentum is back for a 2nd cohort and they are looking for Messy Churches with a small number of 10-16 year olds to join in. For the Summer
- Youth Pilgrimage in Walsingham – 3rd – 7th August. “The Youth Pilgrimage is a week of lively worship, teaching, fellowship and fun for 11-18 year olds. The traditional pilgrimage devotions are presented in an upbeat, lively and enjoyable way which makes them relevant for our young people in today’s world. Over 500 young people gather in Walsingham for the week from all over the UK and internationally, giving them a chance to meet other Christians and explore their faith in a safe environment. Over the years it has changed the lives of countless young people who have never forgotten their week in Walsingham and many of them have come to love the Shrine and to make the pilgrimage ever since. The 2026 theme is Gaudete – Leaping for Joy! Satellites is a five-day event in the Summer to catalyse and support year-round, life-long faith. Everything we do on site is designed to help young people live out their Christian life for the other 360 days of the year.
